Sticky and sweet with a creamy little surprise in the center. Serve them on a pretzel!


1 lb (450 g) Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Ground Turkey
Salt and pepper
3 Cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp (5 mL) Chili flakes
2 tbsp (30 mL) Vegetable oil
(70 g) Brie cheese, cut into 28 – ½” (1 cm) cubes


PLACE ground turkey with salt, pepper, garlic and chili flakes in a large bowl. Mix gently. Roll bite sized portions of the mixture and stuff cube of cheese into the center of each, seal around the cheese.

PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190°C).

HEAT oil in a large ovenproof skillet. Being careful not to overcrowd, cook the meatballs for about 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown. Transfer the pan to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature has reached 165°F (74°C).

MEANWHILE mix all of the ingredients for the sauce in a small saucepan. Cook over medium-low for about 10 minutes.

TO serve, brush the meatballs generously with the sauce and serve skewered with a pretzel or a toothpick.
