It cannot be a good hamburger without bacon!
|1 lb||ground beef|
|1/2 lb||Maple Leaf bacon chopped|
|4 oz||good cheddar cheese, sliced|
|1 cups||fresh sliced mushrooms|
|1 cup||chopped onion|
Fry the bacon and drain off all but 1 tbsp on the fat.. Fry the mushrooms and onions in that fat. Meanwhile form 8 thin hamburger patties.
On 4 of the patties- in the centre - pile 1/4 of the bacon, mushrooms and onions. Top each with one of the four remaining burgers and squeeze the edges of the patties together.
Place on a hot BBQ and leave for 5 minutes then flip and cook the other side until the burgers are fully cooked. Just before you remove them, top with the cheddar cheese and leave on the bbq until it melts. Slide them onto your favourite burger buns and enjoy! .
