Our famous Juicy Jumbos find a home in Canadas best produce. Swap a bun for a delicious grilled pepper and enjoy hot dogs all summer long!
1 Pkg | (375 g) Schneiders® Juicy Jumbo™ Original Wieners |
6 | long finger peppers, hollowed and deseeded |
1 cup | (250 mL) baby spinach |
1 tbsp | (15 mL) olive oil |
1/2 | large red onion, thick slices |
1/2 cup | (125 mL) feta, crumbled |

PREHEAT grill to medium high heat.
GRILL hollowed peppers for about 1 minute turning often and until a char just begins.
PEPPER should still be firm to the touch.
GRILL onions 1 to 2 minutes per side.
PLACE in a small bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
REMOVE to a platter. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
WILT spinach for about 1 to 2 minutes.
SEASON with salt and pepper.
REMOVE from heat. Grill hot dogs 6 to 10 minutes turning frequently or until an internal temperature of 165 degrees is reached.
REMOVE plastic from onions, they should be softened and tender crisp.
SLICE rings in half and season with salt and pepper.
DIVIDE spinach into the cavity of each pepper followed by hot dog.
TOP with onions and feta cheese.
SERVE immediately.
Select peppers that are about the same length as the hot dogs.
