Light and fresh with these summer turkey dogs!
|6||Maple Leaf Prime® Turkey Wieners|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) red peppers, diced small|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) yellow peppers, diced small|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) green pepper, diced small|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) cherry tomatoes, diced small|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) cucumber, diced small|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) olive oil|
|1 1/2 tsp||(7.5 mL) lime juice|
|1||small avocado, pit removed and sliced|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) plain greek yoghurt|
|6||hot dog buns, split|
PREHEAT grill to medium high heat.
IN a small bowl combine, peppers, tomatoes, cucumber, oil and lime juice.
SEASON with salt and pepper and set aside.
GRILL wieners for 3 to 4 minutes or until and internal temperature of 165 degrees is reached.
LIGHTLY toast hot dog buns for 15 to 30 seconds.
ASSEMBLE hot dogs by placing a wiener into each bun followed by sliced avocado.
SPOON salsa over top.
DRIZZLE with yoghurt.
Try serving with sparkling lemon water. Freeze any additional wieners.
