If you like onion soup, I’m confident that you’ll really enjoy this very tasty variation.
|1 lb||Maple Leaf Prime Chicken thinly sliced|
|1 tsp||Bacon fat or lard|
|1||Meat flavouring cube|
|2 tsp||Worcestershire sauce|
|4||Garlic powder dashes|
|6||Toasted French bread slices browned under broiler|
|1 cup||Swiss cheese grated|
|1 cup||Emmental cheese grated|
Thinly slice the chicken and the onion. Melt bacon fat in a pan and cook the chicken and then the onion. Fry until both are well browned. Bring water to a boil and then add all the ingredients but the bread and cheese. Simmer for 1 hour stirring occasionally. Spoon out onion soup into each bowl until ¾ full. Place bread and cheese on top. Broil until golden brown. Hope you love it as much as I do.
