Great way to use leftover roast beef. Tastes like a bowl of French onion soup in a sandwich!
2 | Slices Dempster’s Soft Slice® Whole Wheat Bread/McGavins® Bread 100% Whole Wheat/Bens® Holsum Fresh |
2 | Kraft Singles Swiss cheese slices |
3 tbsp | Caramelized onions |
2 | Slices roast beef |
1 tbsp | Grainy mustard |
2 tbsp | Softened butter |
ASSEMBLE sandwich by placing a slice of cheese on one slice of bread and topping it with caramelized onions, roast beef and the remaining cheese slice. Spread the second slice of bread with mustard and place on top. Butter the outside of the sandwich on both sides.
PLACE a small non-stick skillet over medium heat. Grill the sandwich for 2-3 minutes per side or until the cheese has melted and the bread is golden brown.
Substitute mayonnaise for softened butter.
