About this Recipe

This delicious Holiday themed Shepard's pie is sure to please. It contains a little bit of Christmas in every bite! Serve with butter buns and a fresh green salad if you like.


1 lb Maple Leaf Prime Naturally extra Lean Ground Turkey
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 onion minced
1 clove garlic minced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1 1/2 cup cups of turkey gravy
1/2 cup cooked chopped Acorn squash
1/2 cup cooked chopped carrots
1/2 cup frozen green peas
1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
4 medium cooked mashed yams
with 2 Tbsp butter and 1/2 tsp. salt.


Preheat oven to 350F. Grease or butter the inside of a 10 inch casserole dish.

In a large fry pan add the first 7 ingredients.

Cook at medium heat until onions and turkey are cooked through.

Add next 6 ingredients, cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pour ingredients of fry pan into the casserole dish. Top with mashed yams, use a fork to run over top.

Cook for 35-40 minutes.
