Remember how great those leftover turkey sandwiches taste? Well here you have it in a turkey burger with melted cheese!
|1||(454 g) Package Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Extra Lean Ground Turkey|
|1/2||Small onion, finely diced|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Worchestershire sauce|
|Salt and pepper|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Fresh herbs (sage, parsley, thyme)|
|1/4 tsp||(1 mL) Ground sage|
|2 oz||(50 g) Sliced Gruyere cheese|
|1 cup||Lettuce, roughly chopped|
|120 g||(4 oz) Turkey stuffing mix|
|4 tbsp||(60 mL) Cranberry sauce|
|4 tbsp||(60 mL) Mayonnaise|
PREHEAT grill to medium-high.
MIX ground turkey, egg yolk, onion, worchestershire, salt, pepper, herbs and sage. Form mixture to make four patties. Lightly coat the grill with non-stick cooking spray. Grill the burgers for 4-5 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Place a slice of Gruyere cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
ASSEMBLE burgers by topping the bottom of the bun with lettuce. Add the burger and stuffing. Top with cranberry sauce. Spread the top of the bun with mayonnaise, sandwich and enjoy!
