These Baked Beans are sure to be a hit at any gathering.
|2||2 (19 oz/540 mL) Cans white kidney beans drained and rinsed|
|2||2 (19 oz/540 mL) Cans mixed beans, drained and rinsed|
|1 lb||(454 g) Ham, cubed|
|1.5 cups||(375 mL) Ketchup|
|.75 cup||(175 mL) Brown sugar|
|1.5 cups||(375 mL) Water|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Dry mustard|
|.25 cup||(60 mL) Molasses or maple syrup|
|Dash hot sauce|
|.5 tsp||(2 mL) Salt|
|1||(14 oz/398 mL) Can beans in tomato sauce|
PLACE the white kidney and mixed beans, ham and onion in slow cooker. Whisk together remaining ingredients, except beans in tomato sauce. Add to slow cooker and stir to combine.
COVER and cook on low heat for 10-12 hours or high heat for 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally. Stir in beans in tomato sauce for last 15 minutes to heat and thicken slightly.
