This hot and spicy appy is one big yummy bite!
Full of warm colours that will be sure to get your party started.
This easy appy can be made a day in advance and warmed when needed.
|1 Pkg||Schneiders JMS Spicy Jalapeno Chicken Sausage|
|6||stems of asparagus, wood ends snapped off|
|1 cup||1/2 inch cubed butternut squash|
|1 cup||brie, cut into pieces|
|1 Pkg||crisp crackers of your choice|
Snap off the wooden dry ends of the asparagus, wash and pat dry.
Cut the asparagus into 2" pieces. Saute in oil and set aside.
In the same skillet cook each sausage until browned on all sides.
Remove to a cutting board, cool for 5 min.
Slice into 1" - 2" coins.
Place coins into the same skillet and continue to brown on both sides.
Remove, keep warm.
Place squash into the skillet. Add some more oil is needed.
Cook until fork tender; 5-8 min.
Place 1 piece of sausage on a cracker.
Top with asparagus and squash. Place a piece of cheese on top and watch it melt.
Skewer with a wooden skewer or sprig of rosemary.
