A little sweet and a little spicy. These are easy to make and tasty as a main or appetizer.
|1 lb||(454 g) Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Ground Turkey|
|2||Cloves garlic, minced|
|2 tsp||(10 mL) Chili powder|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Grated Cheddar cheese|
|Salt and pepper|
|1/3 cup||(80 mL) Russian salad dressing|
|1/3 cup||(80 mL) Apricot or peach jam|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Sriracha hot sauce|
COMBINE all of the ingredients for meatballs in a large bowl. Gently mix using clean hands. Form into 30-3/4” (2 cm) meatballs. Arrange in a 12” (30 cm) non-stick skillet and lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray. If using a smaller skillet you may want to cook in separate batches so as not to overcrowd the pan.
COOK meatballs over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, browning all sides. Reduce heat and continue to cook for about 8-9 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
WHISK together all of the ingredients for the sauce and pour over meatballs. Toss to coat. Serve as an appetizer or with your favourite side dish.
