About this Recipe

Remember those great drive-in movies where half the fun was having great hot dogs loaded with lots of condiments?
Here's a Home Style version that ought to bring back those great old days - except this one is much healthier and won't drip because it's all wrapped up.
You may want to double up the portions if you're hungry because these are so good. Didn't you always go back for seconds at the drive-in concession stand?

Ingredients

2 Schneiders® Grill'ems® Fully Cooked Smoked Sausages
2 10 inch Dempsters Ancient Grains Tortilla wraps
.5 cup well drained sauerkraut, either cooked or raw
.25 cup diced raw onion
.25 cup shredded old cheddar cheese (optional)
yellow mustard, to taste
relish, to taste
Frank's® RedHot® Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce, to taste
slices of dill pickle, to taste

Directions

1.
Boil your sausages in water for about 5 minutes. As an alternative, If you have your BBQ out and working this season, you may also grill these tasty sausages at a hot temperature for 5 minutes to heat then throughout.

2.
Microwave your tortilla wraps for 10 seconds.

3.
Dry the hot sausages with a paper towel and place each in the center of one tortilla wrap.

4.
Add the sauerkraut, the onion and your condiments. Sprinkle the cheese on top.

5.
Wrap up your sausage and condiments at the bottom end and at the sides, leaving the front end open. Serve right away.

Variations: whatever condiments you love, add them to your home movie drive-in hot dog! If you really load it up, make sure you have lots of napkins and use a plate, just in case.

You might consider adding steamed rapini, asparagus, aioli, swiss cheese, avocado, etc.
