Sliders move to another level with this deluxe double the turkey recipe!
|6||slices Maple Leaf Prime® Bacon Style Turkey|
|1 lb||Maple Leaf Prime® Ground Turkey|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) olive oil|
|1 cup||(250 mL) green onions, chopped finely|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) chives|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) garlic, minced|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) parsley, chopped finely|
|1/3 cup||(75 mL) parmesan cheese, grated|
|4 tbsp||(75 mL) parmesan cheese, grated|
|6||slider buns, split|
|2||avocado, pitted and mashed|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) lime juice|
|4||torn romaine leaves|
PREHEAT grill to medium high heat.
IN a large bowl combine ground turkey, onions, chives, garlic, parsley, parmesan and lemon juice.
SEASON with salt and pepper. Form mixture into 6 small patties. Place in freezer for 5 to 10 minutes.
IN a large skillet heat olive oil over medium high heat.
COOK bacon 2 to 3 minutes or until desired crispness.
REMOVE onto paper towel lined tray and keep warm.
COOK chilled sliders on BBQ about 4 minutes per side or until an internal temperature of 165 degrees is reached.
MEANWHILE in a small bowl combine avocado and lime juice.
SEASON with salt and pepper.
ASSEMBLE sliders by spreading avocado mixture onto bottom bun.
PLACE lettuce followed by tomato and turkey slider.
TOP with turkey bacon and garnish with cilantro.
TOP with remaining bread.
Serve with crisp salted French fries.
