|1||Tenderflake® Deep Dish Pie Shell|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) butter|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) diced onion|
|8||slices double smoked bacon, chopped|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) milk|
|1 cup||(250 mL) 10% cream|
|1 cup||(250 mL) shredded Gruyère cheese or Swiss cheese|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) chopped fresh flat parsley|
PREHEAT oven to 375 degrees.
COOK bacon and onions in a skillet, over medium-high heat until bacon is browned and crisp and onions are golden and tender, 6 to 8 minutes. Drain off any fat.
WHISK together eggs, milk, cream, salt and pepper in a measuring cup. Sprinkle cheese, bacon mixture and green onions into Tenderflake® Deep Dish Pie Shell; pour egg mixture over top.
BAKE in the center of the oven until filling is set and knife inserted in center comes out clean, 55 to 60 minutes, covering pastry rim with foil if browning too much. Let cool in pan on rack for 10 minutes before serving.
