This double-decker Monte Cristo sandwich is a tasty, satisfying meal, ready in 15 minutes.
|6||Dempster's WholeGrains bread slices|
|4||Maple Leaf Natural Selections Oven Roasted Turkey Breast slices|
|4||Maple Leaf Natural Selections Baked Ham slices|
|1/2 cup||Swiss or cheddar cheese|
|1||Chopped fresh thyme|
|1 tsp||Dijon mustard|
|1/2 tsp||Salt and peppar|
Spread 3 of the bread slices with mustard; top with cheese and turkey.
Top each with another slice of bread, and spread more mustard on those pieces.
Top with more cheese and the ham slices. Complete each sandwich by adding the top piece of bread.
Mix eggs and thyme in a shallow plate. Dip sandwich into egg mixture, turning to soak well.
In large nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat; cook sandwiches, turning once, until browned and cheese is melted, about 6 minutes.
