About this Recipe

This dish was made by mother for my siblings and i growing up.
My mother calls it dirty rice, but it is far from dirty rice.
Kids love this dish, it is so simple to make too !

lb Ground Beef
Cups cups of Parboiled Rice (or you can use rice of your Choice)
2 can of Corn
3 bunch Cloves garlic
3 Cubes of Chicken ( Known as Chicken Bouillon)
3 tsp of Pepper
3 tbsp of Garlic Powder
3/4 cup of Ketchup (optional)

First you need to rinse your rice, you can wash it in a metal strain or just in a bowl ( you should not have any white water).
Now get your water ready for your rice if you use parboiled 4 cups of paper for 2 cups of rice. ( i use a little less water) ,
Put the 3 Chicken Cubes in the water and let that boil. Do not add Salt.
Once the cubes are dissolved in the water you can add your rice..
Now let that cook for about 20 mins.

Put your beef in a frying pan or wok ( big enough to mix the rice and everything together).
Cook until the beef is brown an then add the corn, onion, garlic, pepper and garlic powder.
Continue to cook until beef is fully cooked about 10 mins.

Now you can add the ketchup in the beef if you like..

Once the rice is finished you mix everything together and that is that :)

I hope you enjoy !
