Curl up in front of a fire with a bowl of this!
|1||(65 g) Maple Leaf® Ready Crisp® Bacon Fully Cooked Bacon Slices|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) Canola oil|
|1/3 cup||Popcorn kernels|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Salt|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) Melted butter|
|2 tsp||(10 mL) White truffle flavoured oil (optional)|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) Finely grated good quality Parmesan cheese|
HEAT a large pot over medium. Roughly chop bacon and add to the pot. Cook for about 2 minutes or until evenly browned and crispy. Remove from the pot and set aside. Add canola oil to the same pot. Add popcorn kernels and half the salt. Cover and cook, shaking every few minutes until the popping stops. Remove from heat immediately and transfer to a large serving bowl. Toss in bacon and sprinkle with remaining salt. Combine butter and truffle oil (if using). Drizzle over popcorn. Sprinkle with grated cheese, toss and serve immediately.
