A delectable creamy pasta with yummy chunks of ham and peas!


3/4 lb (340 g) Orecchiette pasta (or your favourite pasta)
3 cups (750 mL) Maple Leaf® Country Kitchen Smoked Ham, diced
1 Onion, finely chopped
3 Cloves garlic, minced
1 cup (250 mL) Frozen peas
1 cup (250 mL) Cream
1 tsp (5 mL) Italian seasoning
1-2 tbsp (15-30 mL) Chopped fresh herbs (mint, parsley, thyme)
1/2 cup (125 mL) Freshly grated Parmesan
Salt and pepper


COOK pasta according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.

MEANWHILE heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Add ham, onion and garlic. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until the onion is soft. Stir in peas, cream and Italian seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Add pasta, Parmesan and fresh herbs. Mix together and serve with additional Parmesan and herbs sprinkled on top.
