This creamy and delicious side dish will impress your family or guests!
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Olive oil|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Butter|
|1/3 cup||(80 mL) Diced onion|
|1/3 cup||(80 mL) Diced red pepper|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) Ready prepared Alfredo sauce|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) Milk|
|2 cups||(500 mL) Cooked rice or 1 Package (250 g) Ready Prepared Express Rice|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) Frozen peas or diced, blanched asparagus|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Grated Parmesan cheese|
HEAT butter and oil in a large saucepan over medium. Add onion and cook for 3 minutes or until soft. Stir in Alfredo sauce, milk, cooked rice and peas. Continue to cook for 5-6 minutes or until heated through. Season with salt. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese just before serving.
Serve with Prime beef in red wine sauce.
