This creamy and delicious side dish will impress your family or guests!

Ingredients

1 tsp (5 mL) Olive oil
1 tbsp (15 mL) Butter
1/3 cup (80 mL) Diced onion
1/3 cup (80 mL) Diced red pepper
1/2 cup (125 mL) Ready prepared Alfredo sauce
1/2 cup (125 mL) Milk
2 cups (500 mL) Cooked rice or 1 Package (250 g) Ready Prepared Express Rice
1/2 cup (125 mL) Frozen peas or diced, blanched asparagus
2 tbsp (30 mL) Grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

HEAT butter and oil in a large saucepan over medium. Add onion and cook for 3 minutes or until soft. Stir in Alfredo sauce, milk, cooked rice and peas. Continue to cook for 5-6 minutes or until heated through. Season with salt. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese just before serving.

Notes

Serve with Prime beef in red wine sauce.
