Bacon and mushrooms go together like salt and pepper in this gourmet pasta dish.
|12 oz||(375 g) Fresh pasta|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Vegetable oil|
|1 Pkg||(8 oz/ 227 g) Sliced white mushrooms|
|2 cups||(500 mL) Baby spinach|
|1 Pkg||Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Bacon Pieces|
|1 Pkg||(300 mL) Olivier® Alfredo Sauce|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Chopped parsley|
COOK pasta according to package directions. Drain and toss lightly in olive oil to prevent sticking.
HEAT oil in a large fry pan over medium heat. Add mushrooms and sauté for 3-5 minutes. Add spinach, cook for 2 minutes or until spinach has wilted and liquid has evaporated.
MIX in bacon pieces, sauce and pasta. Heat for 5 minutes.
SERVE immediately sprinkled with parsley.
Try using other varieties of mushrooms for a different flavor profile.
