|10||strips of thick bacon|
|1/2 cup||brown sugar|
|6 tbsp||crushed cinnamon hearts candies|
|1||dark chocolate bar (35g)|
Cut bacon into 3 pieces and place the strips of bacon on a wire oven rack with a pan under it. Bake at 350 for 10 min. Meanwhile combine the sugar, 3 tbsp. crushed cinnamon candies and 2 tbsp water in a bowl and stir until smooth. Remove bacon from oven and brush with sugar mixture until well coated. Place back in the oven for 5 min. Remove from oven and turn bacon over. Coat with mixture again and place back in oven for 5 min. Remove from oven turn bacon and brush remainder of mixture onto it. Return to oven for 5 min. Bacon should be crispy. Remove bacon from rack and place onto parchment paper and cool in freezer for about 10 min to harden candy coating. In a small bowl melt the chocolate with 1 tbsp of water (set in the still warm oven that you have shut off after cooking the bacon and let it melt, stir as it starts melting being careful not to overheat and scorch the chocolate). Stir until smooth and creamy. Pour the crushed cinnamon candy into a separate small bowl. Dip the end of each piece of cooled bacon into the chocolate to coat and then the crushed cinnamon candy bits. Place onto a tray and cool in fridge or freezer for a few minutes to set.
