Serving breakfast on skewers is a fun way to make an Easter breakfast even more special!
|12||slices Sun-Maid® Cinnamon Swirl Raisin Bread|
|1 cup||Egg Creations® Original|
|1/4 cup||(60 ml) milk|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) vanilla|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) cinnamon|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) chocolate hazelnut spread or jam|
|3 cups||(750 mL) mixed fruit pieces (such as kiwi slices, pineapple chunks, apple wedges, strawberries, bana|
WHISK Egg Creations, milk, vanilla and cinnamon in a shallow dish.
SPREAD the chocolate hazelnut spread or jam over half of the bread slices and top with remaining slices to make sandwiches.
DIP each sandwich into the egg mixture on both sides to coat well.
COOK in batches, in a buttered non-stick skillet, over medium low heat until golden, about 3 minutes per side. Let cool slightly and cut each sandwich into 6 pieces with a serrated knife.
ARRANGE sandwich pieces on skewers alternating with the fruit of your choice. Dust with icing sugar if desired. Serve with a sweetened yogurt dip or maple syrup.
