Lighten up taco night using chicken breast chunks in a glorious Mexican sauce. Top them off with your usual favourites.


12 Taco shells
1 tbsp 15 mL) Vegetable oil
1 Package Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Thin Slice Chicken Breast, cut into small pieces
1 Package taco seasoning
2 cups (500 mL) water
1 cup (250 mL) Salsa
1 cup (250 mL) Shredded lettuce
1 cup (250 mL) Diced tomatoes
½ cup (250 mL) Shredded Cheddar cheese
½ cup (125 mL) Sour cream


HEAT taco shells according to package instructions.

HEAT oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add chicken and cook until golden brown. Add taco seasoning and water; stir to combine. Add salsa and simmer until mixture thickens, stirring occasionally, about 5-7 minutes.

SPOON chicken mixture into taco shells. Add toppings and serve or set up a self serve taco station and allow everyone to build their own.
