Ingredients

JALAPENO-MANGO SALSA:
1 tbsp (15 mL) Olive oil
1 Small onion, diced
1 Mango, diced
2 Cloves garlic
.25 cup (60 mL) Chopped roasted red pepper
2 tbsp (30 mL) Chopped pickled jalapeno pepper (optional)
2 tsp (10 mL) Honey
.25 cup (60 mL) Water
1 tbsp (15 mL) Chopped cilantro
CHIPOTLE TURKEY BURGERS:
1 (454 g) Package Maple Leaf® Prime® Naturally Extra Lean Ground Turkey
1 tsp (5 mL) Lemon zest
1 Chipotle pepper in adobo, finely chopped
2 tbsp (30 mL) Chopped cilantro
Salt and pepper
1 Clove garlic, chopped
1 Egg yolk
4 Villaggio® Italian Style Crustini Buns, toasted
4 Lettuce leaves
4 tbsp (60 mL) Mayonnaise
.5 Small red onion, thinly sliced
1 Tomato, sliced

Directions

MANGO-JALAPENO SALSA:
SAUTÉ onion and garlic in olive oil until tender. Add all remaining ingredients except cilantro and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Cool and stir in fresh cilantro.

CHIPOTLE TURKEY BURGERS:
PREHEAT BBQ to medium-high heat. Mix, with your hands, turkey, lemon zest, chipotle pepper, cilantro, salt, pepper, garlic and egg yolk. Form into four patties. Grill on preheated grill for 5-6 minutes per side until lightly charred and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

ASSEMBLE burgers by placing a cooked burger on the bottom half of a toasted bun. Top with salsa, tomato, red onion, lettuce, mayonnaise and the top of the bun.
