About this Recipe

Spicy bits of sausage in a crisp taco shell topped with your favourite toppings. Delicious!

Ingredients

1 tbsp (15 mL) Olive oil
1 Small onion, thinly sliced
1/2 Red pepper, diced
4 Schneiders® Chipotle Monterey Jack Chicken Grill’ems®, diced
3 tbsp (45 mL) Ready prepared BBQ sauce
3 tbsp (45 mL) Chopped fresh cilantro
10 Taco shells or tortillas
TOPPINGS:
Diced avocado
Diced tomatoes
Hot sauce
Shredded lettuce
Sour cream
Cilantro leaves
Lime

Directions

HEAT olive oil in a large skillet over medium. Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally for 6-8 minutes or until lightly caramelized. Add red pepper and sausages. Increase heat to medium-high and continue to cook for 3-4 minutes. Stir in BBQ sauce and cilantro. Heat through.

MEANWHILE heat taco shells or tortillas according to the package directions.

SERVE tacos with meat mixture and assorted toppings and a squeeze of lime.
