About this Recipe

Crispy wings dusted in Chinese five spice powder and then tossed in a sticky honey-dry garlic chili sauce.

.5 cup (125 mL) Flour
1 tsp (5 mL) Chinese five spice powder
1 Package Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Chicken Wings
Salt and pepper
.25 cup (60 mL) Dry garlic sauce
1 tsp (5 mL) Honey
2 Green onions, chopped
1 Red chili, finely chopped
1 tsp (5 mL) Rice vinegar
1 tsp (5 mL) Sriracha sauce

PREHEAT deep fryer oil to 350°F (180°C).

COMBINE flour and Chinese five spice powder in a shallow pan. Season chicken with salt and pepper and toss in flour.

DREDGE chicken in flour. Shake off any excess flour and deep fry for 8-9 minutes or until golden brown and the internal temperature has reached 185°F (85°C). Work in batches if necessary. Do not over crowd fryer.

COMBINE remaining ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Toss hot crispy wings in sauce and serve.
