This is a lasagna recipe, that is spicy, easy, delicious and creamy. The recipe has two kinds of cheeses, jalapeno peppers and uses tortilla shells instead of lasanga noodles, that is the secret ingredient.


500 g softened cream cheese
2 cup finely chopped onion
4 cup shredded tex mex cheese
3 tbsp minced garlic
3 cups cooked chicken
2 tsp cumin
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cup chicken broth
500 ml sour cream
1 Pkg Dempters small tortilla shells
3 tbsp finely chopped jalapeno pepper


In mixing bowl combine softened creamed cheese, onions, garlic, 2 cups tex mex cheese, cumin. Stir in chicken and 2 cups cheese. Let sit. Melt butter in saucepan, add flour, cook for 2 minutes, add chicken broth, boil for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat add sour cream, jalapeno pepper, cumin and 1 cup cheese mixture. Spray 9 x 13 inch pan, place 1/2 cup sauce on bottom, cut tortilla shells and place over. Spread with chicken mixture, 1/3 cheese sauce and 1/3 cup cheese, repeat until top layer. For top layer spread sauce, cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes in oven at 350F. Remove and let sit for 10 minutes before cutting. Serves 8.


Easy and great recipe to make. Don't forget to add the jalapeno pepper and cumin to the sauce. Add more hot pepper is you desire
