All of the great Greek flavours that you’d find in a souvlaki dinner in a gourmet sandwich.
|1||Package Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Thin Sliced Chicken Breasts|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Dijon mustard|
|2 tsp||(10 mL) Honey|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) Red wine vinegar|
|2||Cloves garlic, minced|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Olive oil|
|Salt and pepper|
|4||Gourmet sandwich rolls, split|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Ready prepared tzatziki|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) Crumbled Feta cheese|
|½||English cucumber, sliced|
PLACE chicken in a large re-sealable plastic bag. Whisk together Dijon, honey, red wine vinegar, garlic, olive oil, oregano, salt and pepper. Pour marinade over chicken. Carefully seal the bag and gently massage the marinade into the chicken. Place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
PREHEAT BBQ to medium-high. Lightly coat the grill with non-stick cooking spray.
GRILL chicken for 4-6 minutes per side or until the chicken is nicely char grilled and the internal temperature has reached 165°F (74°C).
PLACE buns on the grill to lightly toast. Mix together tzatziki and Feta in a small bowl. Spread the bottom half of each bun with the mixture. Layer with sliced cucumbers, chicken and remaining bun tops.
