Cheesy, tasty chicken and Parmesan, with the freshness of basil.
|2||Slices Dempster’s Soft Slice® White Bread/McGavin® White Bread/Bens® Holsum Fresh White Bread|
|2||Kraft Singles Mozzarella cheese slices|
|1/4 cup||Chopped Maple Leaf® Prime® Fully Cooked and Sliced Chicken Breast Strips|
|2 tbsp||Marinara sauce|
|1 tbsp||Grated Parmesan cheese|
|2 tbsp||Softened butter|
TOP one slice of bread with a slice of Mozzarella cheese. In a small bowl toss chicken and marinara sauce.
ARRANGE the chicken mixture over to cheese followed by the Parmesan cheese and the second slice cheese and the remaining slice of bread. Butter the outside of the sandwich.
PLACE a small non-stick skillet over medium heat. Grill the sandwich for 2-3 minutes per side or until the cheese has melted and the sandwich is golden brown. Gently pull the sandwich apart while it is hot and add the basil leaves. Serve immediately.
Substitute mayonnaise for softened butter.
