In this mild Northern Indian dish, Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Chicken Breast Fillets are gently simmered in a fragrant mixture of Olivieri® Butter Chicken Sauce and creamy coconut milk. Garnish with toasted almonds and chopped cilantro!
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Flaked almonds|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Vegetable oil|
|1||Package Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Chicken Breast Fillets, cut into 1 inch (2.5 cm) pieces|
|Salt & pepper|
|1||(200 mL) Package Olivieri® Butter Chicken Sauce|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Coconut cream (NOT milk)|
|2 tsp||(10 mL) Fresh cilantro, finely chopped|
HEAT a large fry pan over medium heat. Add almonds and dry-fry, stirring constantly, until they are lightly toasted, 2–4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
SEASON chicken with salt and pepper. Heat oil in large fry pan; add chicken and sauté for 6 minutes. Increase heat to medium-high; add butter chicken sauce and coconut cream and cook for 5 minutes or until sauce has reduced slightly and internal temperature of the chicken has reached a minimum of 170ºF (77ºC).
SERVE garnished with toasted almonds and chopped cilantro. Serving Suggestion - Serve over rice
