Rich and decadent. Serve this mouthwatering creamy chicken sauce over rice or pasta.
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Olive oil|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Butter|
|3||Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, cut into 1” (2.5 cm) strips|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Flour|
|.75 cup||(175 mL) Chicken broth|
|1||(150 g) Package garlic and herb soft cheese|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Chopped fresh chives|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Chopped fresh tarragon|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Chopped fresh basil|
HEAT olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and internal temperature of chicken reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove from pan with a slotted spoon and set aside.
STIR flour into pan and cook 1 minute. Stir in chicken broth and cook, stirring frequently until thickened. Add cheese, herbs and chicken. Cook an additional 1-2 minutes, until cheese is melted and sauce is hot.
Serve over pasta or rice. Garnish with herbs.
