Spice up your family dinner and try the Chicken Fajita Pizza, made with Maple Leaf® Seasoned Chicken Breast Chunks.
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) olive oil|
|1 cup||(250 mL) thinly sliced red onion|
|.5 cup||(125 mL) green bell pepper strips|
|.5 cup||(125 mL) red bell pepper strips|
|2||(5.5 oz/156 g) cans Maple Leaf® Seasoned Chicken Breast Chunks (drained)|
|.5 tsp||(2 mL) chili powder|
|.5 tsp||(2 mL) salt|
|(2 mL) garlic powder|
|2||large ready-made pizza shells|
|.5 cup||(125 mL) mild salsa|
|2 cups||(500 mL) monterey jack cheese, shredded|
PREHEAT oven to 425°F (220°C).
HEAT oil in a large skillet. Add onion and peppers, cook for 1 minute or until vegetables are tender-crisp.
ADD chicken, stirring frequently until lightly browned. Stir in seasonings.
TOP each pizza shell with chicken mixture, salsa and cheese.
BAKE in oven for 15 minutes until crust is golden brown.
