Crispy golden burritos filled with crunchy chicken strips and melted Italian cheese.
|1 Pkg||(750 g) Schneiders® Country Naturals™ Chicken Strips|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Marinara sauce|
|1 ½ cups||(375 mL) Grated Italian cheese blend|
|½ tsp||(2 mL) Italian seasoning|
|4||Dempster’s® Original Large Tortillas|
|2 cups||(500 mL) Packed baby spinach|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Melted butter|
PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190°C).
COOK chicken strips according to the package directions. Cut each in half lengthwise. Set aside.
SPREAD each tortilla with ¼ cup (60 mL) of marinara sauce leaving a 1” border. Sprinkle with cheese and Italian seasoning. Cut Chicken strips in half lengthwise and arrange 4 pieces down the center of each burrito, top with ½ cup (125 mL) of spinach. Roll each burrito up enclosing the filling.
ARRANGE on a baking sheet. Place a second baking sheet on top and weigh it down with a heavy ovenproof pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. Remove the top pan, brush the burritos with butter and return to the broiler for about 3 minutes or until golden brown.
