These mini pizzas are easy to make, fast, and topped with delicious ingredients to make it a meal!
|4||Greek style pita breads|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Alfredo sauce|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Chopped fresh mint (optional)|
|1 3/4 cups||(425 mL) Grated Italian cheese blend, divided|
|1||(85 g) Package Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Bacon Pieces|
|2||Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, cooked and chopped|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Frozen peas|
PREHEAT BBQ to medium-high.
MIX together Alfredo sauce and mint if using. Spread ¼ cup (60 mL) of the mixture over each pita bread. Sprinkle with ¼ cup (60 mL) of cheese and bacon bits. Scatter chicken and peas over top. Finish with remaining cheese. Turn one side of the BBQ off.
PLACE pita pizzas directly on the side of the grill that is turned off. Close the lid and cook for 8-10 minutes or until pita is crispy and cheese is bubbly.
Substitute fully cooked chicken strips for chopped, cooked chicken.
