About this Recipe

A classic version of a chef salad with all the ingredients typical of the most popular chef salads!


6 cups (1.5 L) Torn leaf or iceberg lettuce
1/2 Yellow pepper, cut in strips
1 cup (250 mL) Cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 English cucumber, sliced
1 cup (250 mL) Grated or cubed Cheddar cheese
6 Slices Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Oven Roasted Turkey Breast, cut in strips
6 Slices Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Smoked Uncured Black Forest Ham, cut in strips
4 Hard boiled eggs, peeled and quartered
1/3 cup (80 mL) Mayonnaise
1 tbsp (15 mL) Dijon mustard
1 tsp (5 mL) Honey
3 tbsp (45 mL) Milk
1 tbsp (15 mL) Vinegar
1/4 cup (60 mL) Chopped chives
Salt and pepper


ASSEMBLE the salad by placing lettuce in a large bowl or platter. Top with prepared vegetables, cheese, meat and eggs.

WHISK remaining ingredients in a small bowl and drizzle over the assembled salad.
