A classic version of a chef salad with all the ingredients typical of the most popular chef salads!
|6 cups||(1.5 L) Torn leaf or iceberg lettuce|
|1/2||Yellow pepper, cut in strips|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Cherry tomatoes, halved|
|1/2||English cucumber, sliced|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Grated or cubed Cheddar cheese|
|6||Slices Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Oven Roasted Turkey Breast, cut in strips|
|6||Slices Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Smoked Uncured Black Forest Ham, cut in strips|
|4||Hard boiled eggs, peeled and quartered|
|1/3 cup||(80 mL) Mayonnaise|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Dijon mustard|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Honey|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) Milk|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Vinegar|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Chopped chives|
|Salt and pepper|
ASSEMBLE the salad by placing lettuce in a large bowl or platter. Top with prepared vegetables, cheese, meat and eggs.
WHISK remaining ingredients in a small bowl and drizzle over the assembled salad.
