Cheesy, spicy and delicious! The panko adds a unique crunchy texture to these little morsels!
|1||(700 g) Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Naturally Smoked Ham, chopped|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Jerk seasoning|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Grated Cheddar cheese|
|1||Small bunch green onions, finely chopped|
|1/2||Red pepper, finely chopped|
|1/4 cup||cup (60 mL) Panko bread crumbs|
|2-3 tbsp||(30-45 mL) Olive oil|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Mayonnaise|
|1||Clove garlic, minced|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Mango chutney|
PLACE all of the ingredients, except olive oil in the bowl of a food processor. Pulse until finely ground. If your food processor is too small process in two batches.
FORM the mixture into 16 – 2” (5 cm) patties. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Working in batches so not to overcrowd, gently fry until golden brown on each side, about 3 minutes per side.
WHISK all of the ingredients together for the sauce and serve with hot ham cakes.
Make burger sized patties and serve on a bun with your favourite condiments.
