Cheesy, spicy and delicious! The panko adds a unique crunchy texture to these little morsels!


1 (700 g) Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Naturally Smoked Ham, chopped
2 tbsp (30 mL) Jerk seasoning
2 Eggs
1 cup (250 mL) Grated Cheddar cheese
1 Small bunch green onions, finely chopped
1/2 Red pepper, finely chopped
1/4 cup cup (60 mL) Panko bread crumbs
2-3 tbsp (30-45 mL) Olive oil
1 cup (250 mL) Mayonnaise
1 Clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp (30 mL) Mango chutney


PLACE all of the ingredients, except olive oil in the bowl of a food processor. Pulse until finely ground. If your food processor is too small process in two batches.

FORM the mixture into 16 – 2” (5 cm) patties. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Working in batches so not to overcrowd, gently fry until golden brown on each side, about 3 minutes per side.

WHISK all of the ingredients together for the sauce and serve with hot ham cakes.


Make burger sized patties and serve on a bun with your favourite condiments.
