Buttery, spicy, cheesy, soft bread with crunchy bits of chicken and a sprinkling of Blue cheese!
|6||Maple Leaf® Prime Naturally® Chicken Strips|
|1||Loaf French bread|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Melted butter|
|6||Cloves garlic, minced|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) Franks® Red Hot® Sauce|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Grated Gruyere cheese|
|1 1/2 cups||(625 mL) Grated Sharp Cheddar cheese|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Finely diced red pepper|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Finely diced green onion|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Crumbled Blue cheese|
PREPARE chicken strips according to the package directions. Roughly chop and set aside.
PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190°C).
HEAT butter in a small saucepan until melted. Add garlic and hot sauce. Remove from heat.
SLICE bread lengthwise. Baste each half of the loaf with butter mixture. Divide the cheeses between the halves of bread followed by chicken pieces and red pepper.
PLACE on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bread is warmed through. Garnish with green onions and sprinkle with Blue cheese. Serve with veggie sticks on the side.
