|Salt and pepper|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Vegetable oil|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Ready prepared barbecue sauce|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) Grated Cheddar cheese|
|5 tbsp||(75 mL) Salsa|
|2||Green onions, chopped|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Maple Leaf® Bacon, chopped and cooked|
PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190°C).
SEASON the chicken with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side or until golden brown. Transfer to a foil lined baking sheet.
TOP each piece of chicken with one heaping tsp (5 mL) of barbecue sauce and spread evenly over the chicken. Sprinkle 1 tbsp (15 mL) of cheese over each followed by 1 tbsp (15 mL) of salsa, green onions and cooked bacon.
BAKE in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
