Slow cooked until tender and juicy. Serve as a sandwich with slaw or any way you desire.
|1||Maple Leaf Prime® Shoulder Pork Roast for Pulled Pork|
|Salt and pepper|
|.25 cup||(60 mL) Prepared yellow mustard|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) Light brown sugar|
|1 cup||(80 mL) Apple cider vinegar|
|2 tsp||(10 mL) Chili powder|
|1 cup||(80 mL) Ready prepared BBQ sauce|
PREHEAT oven to 325°F (160°C).
SEASON pork roast generously with salt and pepper and place in a small roasting pan. Add 1 cup (250 mL) of water to the pan. Roast, covered for 3-4 hours or until very tender and falling apart.
REMOVE pork from the cooking liquid and using two forks pull the meat apart.
COMBINE all of the ingredients for the sauce and add to the shredded pork. Stir to coat the meat and serve hot on warmed rolls with a side of coleslaw.
