Take your family to the fair without leaving home. This chicken fried bacon recipe has all the hallmarks of a carnival style street eat!
|1 Pkg||375 gr Schneiders® Country Naturals Bacon|
|1 cup||(250 mL) flour|
|1/3 cup||(75 mL) potato starch|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) garlic powder|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) onion powder|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) salt|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) pepper|
|1/2 tbsp||(7.5 mL) mustard powder|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) paprika|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) brown sugar|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) cinnamon|
HEAT enough oil in a deep skillet to 357 degrees.
MEANWHILE in a large bowl sift together flour, potato starch, and spices and seasonings.
IN another small bowl combine brown sugar and cinnamon.
DREDGE each piece of bacon in flour mixture and in batches fry bacon 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
REMOVE to a paper towel lined plate.
SPRINKLE with cinnamon sugar mixture.
SERVE with sliced watermelon.
Serve with chilled ice cold lemonade.
