This is going to be addictive! Soft and buttery on the inside, chewing and delicious on the outside.

Ingredients

2 Maple Leaf Prime® Naturally* Chicken Strips
1 Loaf Crusty Italian bread
1/2 cup (125 mL) Melted butter
1 Clove garlic, minced
1/3 cup (80 mL) Franks™ Buffalo Wing Sauce
2 cups (500 mL) Grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 Red pepper, diced
3 Green onions, chopped

Directions

PREPARE chicken strips according to the package directions. Roughly chop and set aside.

PREHEAT oven to 350°F (180°C).

USING a bread knife, cut bread in a criss-cross pattern almost all, but not quite, all the way through.

MELT butter in a small saucepan along with garlic and hot sauce. Set aside. Scatter chicken and cheese over the loaf, tucking bits inside the wedges of bread. Drizzle the butter mixture over top and into the crevices. Scatter diced pepper over the bread and place on a baking sheet. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is nicely melted. Garnish with green onion prior to serving.
