1 Tenderflake® Frozen Deep Dish Pie Shell
8 Large egg yolks
1/2 cup (125 mL) Whipping cream (35%)
1/2 cup (125 mL) Milk
1/4 tsp (1 mL) Nutmeg
1/2 tsp (2 mL) Salt
1/4 tsp (1 mL) Freshly ground pepper
1 tsp (5 mL) Dried thyme
1 cup (250 mL) Diced ham
1 cup (250 mL) Small broccoli florets, steamed
1 cup (250 mL) Grated Cheddar cheese


PREHEAT the oven to 375°F (190°C).

DOCK and bake the pie shell for 10 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C) and continue to bake for another 10 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Remove from the oven and set aside.

WHISK together eggs, cream, milk, nutmeg, salt, pepper and thyme in a medium bowl. Place the baked pie shell on a rimmed baking sheet. Arrange the remaining ingredients in the bottom of the pie shell. Slowly pour the egg mixture over top. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until set. Serve warm or at room temperature.


Serve with a slide salad.
