|1||(700 g) Bag prepared pizza dough|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Cornmeal|
|8||Slices Maple Leaf® Bacon, chopped|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) Melted garlic butter|
|2 cups||(500 mL) Grated Cheddar cheese|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Chopped green onions|
|Salt and pepper|
|Chopped fresh basil|
PREHEAT oven to 450°F (230°C).
HEAT a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add bacon and cook for 8-9 minutes or until almost crispy. Remove from the pan with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towel. Set aside.
ROLL or stretch out pizza dough into two 12” (30 cm) pizza crusts on a lightly floured surface. Place each on a parchment lined, cornmeal dusted baking sheet.
BRUSH each pizza with melted garlic butter. Sprinkle with cheese, onions and bacon bits. Bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until slightly golden. Remove from the oven and add green onions. Crack 4 eggs over each pizza. Season eggs with salt and pepper. Return pizzas to the oven for 5-6 minutes or until eggs have set to your likeness and the crust is golden brown. Remove from the oven. Sprinkle with fresh basil and serve immediately.
