Roast beef, aged cheddar, chipotle mayonnaise = where heaven and picnic come together. This is the perfect, satisfying sandwich to bring to park, beach or boardwalk.


6 Dempsters WholeGrains bread slices
1 cup Maple Leaf Natural Selections Roast Beef
1/2 cup Cheddar cheese
shredded or cut into thin slices
1/2 cup Chipotle mayonnaise or chipotle aioli


Shred roast beef into small pieces. Spread roast beef on three slices of Dempsters WholeGrains bread. Top with cheddar cheese.

Spread chipotle mayonnaise or aioli on remaining pieces of bread. Place on top of sandwich bottoms.

Lightly butter the outsides of the sandwich and brown in a griddle pan until cheese is melted. Flip sandwich over and brown the other side. Serve while warm, or wrap in foil.


Although I toasted this sandwich in a griddle pan to make it crispy and warm, this sandwich is just as tasty when made with fresh, untoasted bread.
