About this Recipe

Blackened Chicken is spicy but not over-powering. If its too spicy reduce or omit the cayenne pepper.


1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp white pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tbsp canola oil
6 boneless skinless chicken thighs


- in a bowl mix all spices together
- use oil to lightly coat chicken pieces
- sprinkle mixed spices over chicken so its coated on both sides
- heat a fry pan to maximum heat
- sear chicken in hot pan about 45s to 1m each side so it burns a bit
- place chicken in preheated oven or BBQ (300F)
- cook for 30m
