This Father's Day make sure to treat your dad right with a manly grilled bacon cheeseburger topped with a BBQ horseradish mayo spread.
|2||Schneiders® Country Naturals® Angus Burgers|
|6||Slices Schneiders® Bacon, cooked|
|8||Slices Dempster’s® Stays Fresh™ White Bread|
|4||Slices Cheddar cheese|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) Softened butter Lettuce|
|.5||Red onion, thinly sliced|
|BBQ HORSERADISH MAYO:|
|.25 cup||(60 mL) Mayonnaise|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Smokey BBQ sauce|
|.5 tsp||(2 mL) Horseradish|
|Salt and pepper|
|.5 tsp||(2 mL) Lemon juice|
PREHEAT BBQ to medium-high heat. Cook burgers according to package directions.
ASSEMBLE 4 grilled cheese sandwiches by placing 1 slice of cheese on each of 4 slices of bread. Top with remaining bread and butter on both sides. Preheat a large skillet to medium heat. Grill sandwiches 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown.
WHISK horseradish mayo ingredients together.
ASSEMBLE “Big Daddy Burger” by spreading horseradish mayo on one outer side of 2 of the grilled cheese sandwiches. Top with lettuce, a grilled burger, bacon, tomato and red onion. Spread horseradish mayo on one outer side of remaining grilled cheese sandwiches and place on top of built burger.
