BBQ'ed Pulled Chicken - Slow Cooker

1 chicken - chopped into pieces
.5 cup brown sugar
1 onion - chopped
4 garlic cloves
.5 tomato paste - can
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp hot mustard
5 tbsp sriracha sauce
3 tbsp chilli powder
3 tbsp apple jam or apple butter
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp pepper


Add all ingredients into a slow cooker and cook on high for 2.5 - 4 hrs checking every 30min. Chicken should fall off the bone and pull with ease.

Remember to taste at 2hr mark for seasoning and spice (Chicken needs to be cooked before you taste).

Once cooked, remove chicken from pot and allow to cool so you can handle it. Once cool pull chicken into threads with a pair of forks.

Add chicken back to pot and allow to get coated in sauce.

Pulled Chicken Sandwich:
Serve between preferred bread. Butter (garlic butter!) and warm buns for best results.
