About this Recipe

For some extra flavour try grilling this classic sandwich on your Barbecue!


8 slices Maple Leaf® bacon
8 slices Villaggio® Italian-style white bread
4 slices Monterey Jack cheese
300 g shaved turkey slices
125 ml thinly sliced red bell pepper
250 ml fresh arugula
8 slices tomatoes
light mayonnaise
60 ml olive oil


PREHEAT BBQ to medium

COOK bacon on BBQ in BBQ pan for 5 minutes, turning occasionally until crisp.

DIVIDE evenly all the ingredients on the four slices of bread starting with the cheese. Top with remaining slices of bread to form a sandwich.

BRUSH the outside on both sides of each sandwich with olive oil.

TURN BBQ heat to low, place sandwich on grill and press gently with a spatula. Cook until the cheese is melted and there are grill marks on each side of the sandwich.
