About this Recipe

Beer battered fish and chips

1 lb Halibut or Haddock
2 cups All Purpose Flour
2 cups Voodoo Donut Maple Bacon Ale
1 tbsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
3 Russet Potatoes
Salt and Pepper
Vegetable or Canola Oil

MAKE french fries according to package directions

MIX together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper in a bowl, and season with a bit of salt and pepper. Make sure to whisk this with a wire whisk

ADD in the beer little by little, and continue stirring until the mix has the same consistency as pancake batter

DUST the fish with flour.

HEAT oil to 350F and coat each piece of fish one by one and slowly lower them into the oil

PLACE fish pieces on a rack to get rid of the remaining oil, once they are done cooking (turned crispy and golden brown)

SERVE atop the fires, slice of lemon and some tartar sauce
