About this Recipe

Simple, just a touch of mango and red pepper with cilantro make it as pretty as it is delicious.


1 tbsp (15 mL) Butter
3 tbsp (45 mL) Minced onion
1 Clove garlic
1/4 cup (60 mL) Diced red pepper
2 cups (500 mL) Cooked rice or 1 (250 g) package Prepared Express Basmati Rice
1/2 Mango, finely diced
2 tbsp (30 mL) Cilantro, finely chopped
Salt and pepper


HEAT butter in a small skillet over medium. Add onions, garlic and red pepper. Sauté until soft and fragrant. Add rice and heat through, about 2 minutes. Stir in mango and cilantro. Season with salt and pepper and serve.


Serve with Prime Butter Chicken
